In Your Arms by Kina

Forget the song. I don’t even care about the song. It’s the video I’m impressed with. It’s so innovative. This 3 minute 25 second video took and entire year to make. The work on it was so meticulous it’s damn near ridiculous. I’m impressed. Watch the video below. Then watch the making of the video. Now tell me, would your really be able to put that much time and energy into one music video?

F*ck I Look Like?

This poem by Kai Davis is THE TRUTH! I love it. Completely understand the struggle relayed in her words.

SN: Bogans and Angeli might be the only ones to get this reference but this poem reminded me of a quote in Wyatt Cenac’s stand-up when he was talking about how a viewer on youtube called a cat jumping in and out of a box a “nigger cat.”

“This box represents the duality between trying to live in a homogenized society while at the same time struggling to hold on to your fragmented cultural identity. Because those two worlds are constantly in conflict, you must jump between them like a nigger cat.”
